honey and butter on toast
These are a few things I am growing accustomed to...
Honey and butter on toast or a waffle
Really enjoying different cheeses
Eating honey with a spoon as dessert
Hot Pain Blanche you tear apart-not cut
Homemade quiche with pumpkin
Coffee from a french press and foamed milk
Walking to Pattiseries with fresh bread and chocolate croissants
Running to trams and stealing a ride
Getting frites with mayonnaise or samurai sauce whenever I want
Greek Pitas
Reading at the park while Homer runs and hunts like a crazy/rabied dog
Not knowing what the heck to do with my hair...so Im losing interest in the new cut.
Trying to speak french and sounding like an idiot!
Really listening to people but only understanding 5% of what they say...
Having to buy water because too much calcium from the tap. AND having to give homer bottled water because if i dont when we go to the park and he runs around he begins to drool and look like a seriously rabied dog...
Trying any beer I want whenever I want
Buying cheap good wine and enjoying it
I will add to this list later...

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
Excellent book! But unfortunately the ones to follow in this trilogy have not yet been translated into English. There were a few times I cracked the case before the detective and found myself a bit irritated but shortly thereafter the author would throw in a good curve ball making up for my previous disappointment. I highly recommend this as a page turning addictive read. The beginning 90 pages or so are merely dry and informative material...but if you can make it past that, its worth hanging onto! My copy became a staple to my wardrobe until I recently finished it. I hope someone will take a gander and check it out :) Aunt Peggy, I think you would really enjoy this one....you just have to over look all the Swedish names and places...but if you can do that, GET IT!

Oostende
Well I am pretty sure everyone received the pictures from my trip to Oostende, so here are just a few highlights... It was a rather wonderful little break though the history of the place was not the most pleasant. All along the North Sea Hitler tried to form the Atlantic Wall in his attempt to control all Europe. The wall ran from France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Norway, and Denmark....reaching the western most part of Poland. So in these bunkers lay the Nazi soldiers ready to aim, fire, shoot down any attempt to stop Hitlers progression. To say the least, in hindsight it was all a little weird. There my friend and I were enjoying our day trip to the coast enjoying the beach, walking around town, sitting on the pier sipping on Sangria, having fun in the sun, then taking a tram ride out to the Atlantik Wall where these bunkers where...we take the tour and begin to see life in a completly different era. Then, as we returned to the city walking back along the same path/tram ride we became aware of the surroundings and saw all the bunkers along the coast and all the military guns facing the sea in preparation for defense. It was an eye opening experience to see how fortunate we have been.

Let the fun begin!
So I am making a list of the places I must see before I leave Europe. My list may be short as of now but it will be tasty and lively by the end.
I wish to visit Prague, Monaco, Rome, Munich... (added to list: Morocco, Istanbul, Vienna, Budapest)
So if there are any suggestions please feel free to leave a comment so I can look into tagging your fine recommendation to my list :)
If friends or family visit then I will possibly be up for visiting Brussels, Brugge, Antwerp, Oostende, Brussels Coast area, The Hague, Amsterdam, Paris, or the Champagne region of France again...
But Im just starting to get ideas for making the best of my last few months in Europe.
Love you guys!
